Summary of the work To provide a resource to the ICT Security Team for day-to-day support, remediation of known issues, and execution of project tasks. A large proportion of work will be required for ESN Health check remediation work where the consultant will progress and complete project tasks for the appropriate project manager. Specialist role Cyber security consultant Expected Contract Length 1 year Latest start date Monday 3 July 2017 Maximum Day Rate £350 Who Speclialist Work With ICT Security Team Leader What Specialists Work On ICT Security – BAU/Project work Skills & Experience • “CompTIA+ Security” or ”Cisco Security” Certification or three year’s experience in working in Security. • MS Windows Active Directory and LDAP • Maintaining Firewall rules • Web and Email filtering • Experience of hardening of critical systems • Security Patch Management • VPN Administration • Strong technical background and hands-on skills in reviewing testing and troubleshooting complex IT infrastructures from a security perspective. • Knowledge of typical ITIL change management processes. • Scripting. Nice to Haves • MS Windows GPO • VLAN/Switch configuration • Powershell • Citrix Netscaler • RSA • Solarwinds product suite • Visual Studio • MS Direct Access Work Location LFB Headquarters, 169 Union Street, London, SE1 0LL Working Arrangments Onsite 9am - 5pm Monday-Friday. Expenses not included. Security Clearance Not required No. of Specialists to Evaluate 5 Cultural Fit Criteria • Able to be personally accountable; to commit to deadlines but also to admit failures. • Able to work in a task orientated manner to complete project tasks as requested. • Able to communicate effectively with project managers and other teams. We think this sits inside (the IR35) as they will use our equipment, sit at our desks and be directed by our staff. 2. Inside 4. What is the maximum paying rate for this role as we have conflicting rates? It seems a little low for this particular role. The Authority has increased the maximum day rate to £450. 5. Could you please let us know - 1. Maximum number of applications we could submit. 2. Date on which feedback would be provided for the applications submitted. Ideally we would want 5 or 6 applications to review with a view to short listing fewer. Feedback I think would be within a few days of submission subject to staff availability to do it of course. 6. Would you consider work permit holders (e.g. Tier 2 General Visa) and EU passport holders for this role ? Yes skill set is the key requirement 7. Is the rate inclusive or exclusive of VAT? Exclusive 8. Is there any travel involved in this role and will the travel expenses be paid ? Minimal but as required and would be reimbursed 9.
