Tender description
Wiltshire Council has a requirement for Investigating officer foundation training. The learning will be part of the training provided for adult social care staff at Wiltshire Council. This course is to be offered as a one day introduction to the role of investigating officer. The course needs to meet the needs of the national directives for investigating officers and give an overview of the role in line with Wiltshire’s safeguarding procedures. This foundation course is an essential precursor for those needing to undertake the full 3 day training, in order to be able to assume the role of investigating officer, in line with the requirements for safeguarding adults described in the Care Act 2014. The following outcomes need to be met: 1. An overview of the role of Investigating Officer as described in the policy and procedures for safeguarding adults in Wiltshire 2. The roles and responsibilities of others involved in safeguarding adults 3. The good practice requirements of person centred working in safeguarding adults, as described by Making Safeguarding Personal. Keywords: training
