Furze Platt Senior School Expansion

Tender description

On behalf of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, Wokingham Borough Council is seeking to commission a suitably experienced and competent Design and Build contractor to carry out a single stage design and construction project with two phases at Furze Platt Senior School. The first phase is the design and construction of a new three storey teaching block for science and mathematics, including demolitions of a single storey science block and modular classrooms. The second phase of the project is the demolition of the existing gymnasium and another modular classroom block, followed by the construction of a new hall extension. Phase 2 cannot be started until Phase 1 is completed. Following an initial PQQ evaluation, a restricted number of candidates will be invited to tender. The tender process will be single stage, fixed price JCT 2016 Design and Build contract. A maximum of 6 contractors will be invited to tender; these will be selected based on the PQQ submission.
