Tender description

Provision of Non-Accredited Adult Community Adult Learning for Disadvantaged Adults within the Liverpool Region. This Service will compliment and not replace the in-house provision at the Liverpool Adult Learning Service. Non-Accredited Adult Learning for young Adults in Disadvantaged Wards within the Liverpool City Region. ALS invites tenders to this DPS from providers with a proven track record of delivering non-accredited provision to adults in a variety of settings. Non-accredited or non-formal learning (adult learning) refers to structured, taught learning but differs from formal learning in that it does not lead to a qualification within the aims and objectives of the course. It is possible it will lead to a certificate of achievement or statement of attainment. Some examples of types of non-accredited courses include: — Introduction courses (e.g. Maths, English, ICT); — Personal enrichment courses (e.g. personal development, instruction skills); — Work-related courses (e.g. skill development, job search training).
