West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority issue this Prior Information Notice on behalf of the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) UK Research and Development (UK R&D). UK R&D has been established to support the UK Fire Services in undertaking market research into suppliers and products available in the market for operational equipment and services. Their aim is to improve market awareness in the sector and thereby reduce the resources, cost and time spent on market research as an overall activity across the UK Fire Sector. UK R&D are arranging a Body Worn Video conference, on the 25.7.2017 and 26.7.2017. This is to compare all the different options available in the market with a view of moving towards integration within the Fire Sector. UK R&D are arranging a Body Worn Video conference, on the 25.7.2017 and 26.7.2017, that is intended to bring strategic managers, procurement teams, trainers, end users and subject matter experts together from FRS's, other emergency responders and agencies informing them on the appropriate cameras, software and support alongside manufacturers and suppliers. This is to compare all the different options available in the market with a view of moving towards integration into their own service. Following the conference UK Research and Development will produce an objective report, detailing the attending subject matter experts, speakers, products and suppliers for future reference and on-going development.
