SOG-PR-T-Appointment of the States’ External Auditors

Details

Tender description

The States and associated entities are required to prepare annual sets of accounts, covering the reporting period of 1 January through to 31 December. The accounts will include principal financial statements and accompanying notes. These are required to be independently audited by suitably qualified individuals in accordance with recognised professional auditing standards. Independent audits in the public sector provide an opinion on the accounts in accordance with national and international accounting standards and give a view on internal quality control procedures. An independent view complements the financial reviews carried out internally by States bodies, i.e. Scrutiny Management Committee and Internal Audit, to ensure there is accountability and proper use of public funds. This Invitation to Tender is split into 3 lots, whereby Potential Providers may submit a bid for any number of lots. Details of the separate lots are included within the Specification.
