School cleaning services

Tender description

Wandsworth Borough Council invited tenders from suitably experienced and qualified contractors for the provision of internal and external cleaning, litter picking and sweeping of up to 45 schools (including; a nursery, special, primary and secondary schools) located throughout the Borough. Because of the nature of the services delivered at Schools, the Council requires an enhanced cleaning service to be carried out as and when required and the Contractor's staff shall be DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked for working in the vicinity of children and/or young vulnerable adults. The Contract will be for a period of 6 years (72 months) commencing on 25.7.2017 with an option for schools to opt out after 3 years as well as the option of a four-year (48 months) extension subject to the mutual agreement of both parties before the termination of the Contract. The estimated value of the contract over the initial term of 6 years and the potential extension period of 4 years is 15 500 000 GBP.
