Provision of Street Drinkers Research

Tender description

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBB) is looking to commission an experienced provider to work within the borough to engage with street drinkers and our existing services and agencies to collect information, create profiles, highlight issues and make recommendations including the possibility and benefits of the establishment of a full-time outreach street drinker role. The aim of the project is to research the street drinking landscape of LBBD, analyse the numbers, demographics, consumption habits, health statuses, immigration statuses, instigation factors, motivations and de-motivators to drink, the needs and requirements of street drinkers to prevent or desist in street drinking and produce reports to the LBBD Substance Misuse Strategy Team in recommending cost effective pathways and highlighting specific support for street drinkers in Barking and Dagenham The service will run for 12 months with direction from the LBBD Substance Misuse Strategy Team. A detailed report will be delivered by the provider at a time agreed with commissioners.
