Mourneabbey Community Playground

Tender description

This project involves the design , supply & installation of a Children’s Playground and associated surfacing works at Mourneabbey Community Complex, Mourneabbey , Mallow , Co. Cork The proposed playground is to be located within the grounds of the Community Complex in Mourneabbey . The playground will be adjacent to the Community Centre on a pre-existing hard gravel surface. The project will also include for fencing of the site and all associated site works. The approximate size of the site is ( length 19 Metres x width 17 Metres ) The range of play equipment required is to be suitable for 2 to 14 year olds , providing a wide range of play value . The following non exhaustive list outlines the type of play equipment envisioned for this site . Swings – with a mix of cradle , traditional and/or tyre to cater for the age range Seesaw Roundabout Springers x 2 Two tower modular unit for active play ( junior) Integrated modular unit for physical activity (over 7s) Individual items to encourage active play . Thermographics to be included in wetpour The proposed equipment should be predominantly of steel construction , with polycarbonate components . All equipment & associated safety surfacing must conform to all relevant standards .
