Tender description

South Tyneside Council is looking to recommission services to address the misuse of substances including alcohol, novel psychoactive substances (NPS), illicit drugs and misused prescription medication. A summary of the services to be delivered under this contract include, but are not limited to: — Stabilisation and assessment, — Recovery and re-integration, — Harm reduction, — Psychosocial interventions, — Structured day care, — Substitute prescribing including related drug and prescribing costs, — Supervised Consumption, — GPs Shared Care, — Residential and Community Detoxification, — Residential rehab pathways, — Complex needs, — Non user support pathways, — Criminal Justice based interventions to reduce offending and re-offending, — Hospital based alcohol services, — Brief interventions and advice. The procurement was undertaken under Chapter 3 of the 2015 Public Contracts Regulations (Light Touch Regime), using an Open procurement procedure.
