Tender description

The University of Worcester is investing even more in enhancing our students' experience. To support students' success on their course and improve retention and engagement, the University will provide a course-specific package which can include essential textbooks, equipment and materials. The University will be investing up to a value of 2 100 000 GBP over the next 2 years. (Approx. 800 000 GBP in 17/18 and 1 300 000 GBP in 18/19) based on student applications and bursary payments. University of Worcester ‘Reach’ scheme. A device trail has piloted the provision of both Tablets and e- books to the students on selected courses. The Academic teams were asked to provide a list of the core texts for their course alongside a range of APPs, software and other useful links to support course delivery. The number and costs of each book has varied across courses. This Tender Specification is for the supply of a bespoke tablet device which is capable of holding. E-texts, and is configured and branded for the University's ‘Reach’ Scheme and allows access for the students to an on-line shop where they can purchase other products and materials to suit their course.
