Virginia Traffic Signal Controlled Junction

Tender description

Cavan County Council are undertaking a realignment and upgrade to the junction between the N3 and the R178 in Virginia, County Cavan. There Works are split between a Civil Works Contract and a Traffic Signals Contract. Cavan County Council wish to invite quotations for the Traffic Signals Contract as per the requirements set out in this email and the attached Scoping Document, Specification and Pricing Document. The Traffic Signals Contract shall be undertaken in full accordance with NRA (TII) Manual of Contract Documents for Roadworks (MCDRW). The scope of the works shall be Virginia Traffic Signal Controlled Junction Scoping Document and Specification. The Contract designation is Virginia Traffic Signal Controlled Junction and the agreement shall be between Cavan County Council and the appointed Traffic Signal Contractor. The Main Civil Works Contract is likely to commence on site during October 2015 and last for a 15 week duration. It is expected that the Traffic Signals Contract will commence towards the end of this period. The appointed Contractor for the Traffic Signal Contract will be required to liaison with the main Civils Works Contractor and early liaison is advisable. The appointed Traffic Signals Contractor, prior to award, will be required to complete a Health and Safety Suitability Questionnaire, similar to sample attached as part of the Information Pack.
