Tender description

Taxi & Private Hire Services for: — Integrated Day Services within North Lanarkshire for older people. — Transport on an ad-hoc basis. The provision of taxi & private hire services for older people, on a planned and regular basis, to and from Airdrie integrated day services. The contractor must have a minimum of six (6) vehicles available to operate this lot. As the client group can include disabled and/or less mobile older adults, we have specific requirements for the vehicles that can be used: — at least two (2) vehicles must be suitable and/or adapted to meet the needs of people with disabilities e.g. wheelchair accessible; also, — if saloon vehicles are proposed, they must have a front swivel seat. The services can be required up to seven (7) days per week. Currently, core pick-up times are between 9:15 and 10:30 and drop-off times between 14:30 and 16.30, however due to increased demand, the services may be required outwith these times.
