Tender description

Elective surgical activity at Lymington New Forest Hospital and satellite clinics (including outpatients, pre-operative assessment, theatres, recovery and surgical beds.) For general surgery, urology, vascular, Trauma and Orthopaedics, ophthalmology and gynaecology. Minor Injuries Unit activity at Lymington New Forest Hospital for West Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Groups. Lymington New Forest Hospital Elective Surgical and Minor Injury Unit activity for West Hampshire CCG. This is not a call for competition; it is to inform the market of the Contract Authorities intention to Direct Award the contract to University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust from 1.8.2017 until 31.3.2019. This is following contractual notice served to the CCG by the current provider. The intention to directly award the contract has been taken in line with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Sustainability and Transformation Plan and the Acute Alliance and ensures the continued provision of local services for local people, whilst ensuring increased utilisation of NHS resources to realise efficiencies within the South West System. University Hospitals Southampton also currently provide the majority of consultant staff for elective surgical activity ensuring continuity of care, whilst also providing opportunities for collaborative working to develop innovative w..
