Sterile Connection Devices (SCD)

Tender description

NHSBT requires supply, maintenance and consumables for Sterile Connection Devices (SCD) and is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers who will be able to offer a solution for the following: The devices must be suitable for blood component processing e.g. connection of additional packs and filters to primary blood collection systems and packs, connection of buffy coats etc; produce blood components that satisfy current/future guidelines; connect tubing from all blood pack systems supplied to the Authority. The maintenance must be suitable for existing Terumo Sterile Connecting Devices (TSCD) I & II. The consumables must perform sterile welds between plastic PVC tubing for processing of blood and components and must be compatible with TSCD's I & II.
