Tender description

Newport City Council (the Council) in 2011 entered into a collaborative partnership with a preferred partner to invest, shape and develop local priorities and plans to promote an Integrated Family Support Service (IFSS) model in Newport. This partnership has resulted in a range of developments including the Family Assessment & Support Service (FASS) and Family Support Team FST) as well as supporting services within the Children and Young People Service. The contract for this collaborative partnership expires March 2018 and Council invites expressions of interest for an investment partner for the delivery, joint management and further development of the Council's IFSS. It should be noted that the other Gwent authorities listed may be interested in utilising this contract when their individual contracts expire in the future and the estimated value in II.1.5 reflects this. The successful collaborative partner with the Council will jointly manage and further develop services within the Integrated Family Support Services (IFSS) which includes: Family Assessment Support Team (FASS). Family Support team (FST). Children with Additional Needs Team (CANs). Young Carers. Family Contact Centre. Preventions service including Families First. Reflect. The successful collaborative partner will also be responsible for the training of staff within the IFSS and other external agencies.
