Tender description

Freebridge Community Housing (FCH) is a social housing Registered Provider based in King's Lynn, Norfolk. It manages nearly 7 000 properties, predominantly within the Borough of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. It also owns a very small number of properties in the adjoining local authority areas, such as Breckland Council and North Norfolk District Council. FCH manages these properties and their repair and maintenance programmes, and is seeking to procure a supplier for Skip Hire and Waste Disposal services. FCH currently has a site at Hamlin Way, King's Lynn that holds permanent skips to enable building waste generated by the Property Service team through processes such as repairs, maintenance and empty house clearances to be disposed of. Trade teams within Property Services also have requirements for builder skips of varying sizes from 4 - 10 tonnes. These are to be delivered and collected from individual site addresses to accommodate larger single projects, where a dedicated skip is required and would be on a separate order basis. The service provider will also provide recycling bin facilities for FCH offices at Juniper House, Hamlin Way and Providence House, King's Lynn, to enable office paper and waste to be recycled as appropriate. A brief breakdown of waste collected from the Hamlin Way depot and various sites between January 2016 and October 2016 by the existing service provider is as follows: Total tonnage Approx. 705 Ton. Amount recycled 630 Ton. Amount to landfill 75 Ton. Amount of Asbestos 10.24 Ton (Included in the total tonnage). Please note that this is an indication of FCH's past requirements and are subject to change. The annual estimated value is 80 000 GBP and a total estimated contract value of 560 000 GBP. The Contract will be procured using the OJEU Restricted procedure and will be for a 5-year duration, with an option to extend, by mutual consent, up to a further 2 years.
