Tender description

The Institute has an existing Health Centre and currently engages two Nurses, who provide triage services. A General Practitioner Provider will provide primary medical care to students on an appointment basis. The Health Centre team aims to provide a holistic approach and student friendly service with particular attention to preventative medicine, health promotion and healthy lifestyles. Student medical records are confidential and will not be disclosed by the Health Centre to the Institute without the students' explicit consent. Students with a chronic condition, disorder or disability, which may require specific support or monitoring are advised to make themselves known to the Institute Health Centre prior to or at Registration, so that appropriate care can be planned. Approximately 2,500 students availed of the service provided by the Institute's Health Centre in the academic Year 2015-2016 with approximately 600 visiting the doctor.
