N55 Corduff to South of Killydoon Realignment Scheme - SECTION A

Tender description

Construction of a total of approximately 3.2km of Type 2 Single Carriageway, typically with 8m wide paved carriageway and 3m wide verges, at two discrete locations on the N55 in County Cavan. Phase 1 of the Works is approximately 1.1km long,involving online realignment and new alignment construction, predominantly in cutting. Phase 2 of the Works is approximately 2.1km long,involving online realignment and new alignment construction, predominantly in fill. Both Phases require significant excavation of soft soils beneath embankments. Associated works include for both Phases include: • side roads; • traffic managment; • boundary fencing and walls; • safety barriers; • carraigeway drainage; • attenuation ponds; • road pavements; • traffic signs and road markings; • road lighting; • service diversions.
