7638 Early Sutton: to inform the present for the future Archaeological assessment and reappraisal of Archaeological Priority Area

Tender description

In support of the Sutton HAZ this project will undertake research to understand how Sutton has grown and developed. The winning contractor will carry out an archaeological review and assessment of archaeological evidence, impact that this resource has sustained and the preparation of a predictive model by period of the archaeological potential across the Town Centre area. The aim of this project is to produce as complete as possible understanding of the archaeological record for Sutton Town Centre and identify features and areas of potential. This will relate to the surrounding archaeological, historic and topographic environment as well as determining significance.
