Tender description

The Contract is for the repair and upgrade of sea defences to seaward face of Portrush North Pier, measuring approximately 140m in length. Works will include: • Removal of delaminated concrete overlay to stone pitched revetment • Concrete infill to voids present within the stone pitched revetment, as a result of loss of material, and repair of concrete overlay • Relocation of existing Rock Armour (circa 7000m3) over 140m length • Construct new concrete edge beam (between stone pitched revetment and rock armour) over approximately 140m length • Supply, stockpile temporarily and place circa 24,000t of 10-15t rock armour in front of toe beam over approximately 140m length. It is envisaged that the contract period will be 28 weeks (April to September 2018), including 8 weeks mobilisation.
