Urgent Care/Walk-in Centre/Minor Injuries Unit Services in Corby

NHS Corby CCG and NHS Nene CCG are seeking suppliers interested in the delivery of an Urgent Care/Walk-in Centre/Minor Injuries Unit (U) services to be delivered from the Corby Urgent Care Centre . The Commissioners are looking to work with the Provider to achieve a delivery of the Services which works towards achieving the following objectives (as previously outlined in the Commissioners' business case for the UCC): 1. ensure appropriate use of the UCC/streaming of presenting service users, in accordance with clinical requirements and the Commissioners' wider objectives for the Services; 2. a reduction in Type 1 and Type 2 A&E attendances for Ambulatory Conditions that can be treated in Primary Care settings (with a target of 25%) 3. the reduction of paediatric 24 hour emergency admissions by 25% and adults by 50% 4. a generalised reduction in emergency admissions by working collaboratively with other community based services. Please note this is a 'caretaking contract' for a fixed term of 12 months duration whilst the CCGs undertake some patient consultation and then re-tender the long term service model with up to a potential 5 year contract.
