To ensure safe navigation of the Port of Dover, efficient operation for the berthing schedules and dissemination of port information, where applicable to IALA standard. Replacement of the existing Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) System includes: — Radar and masts/steelwork, — Radar processing and target extraction, — Automatic Identification System (AIS), — Environmental Monitoring System, — Radio Direction Finders (RDF), — VHF Marine communications, — VTS data recording and playback, — VTS operator workstations, including control room console furniture. The Port Information Management System (PIMS) is an essential component of the Port of Dover operation and must be capable of: — Ferry schedule planning, — Automated entry of ferry movements from schedule in conjunction with the VTS radar and AIS, — Two-way exchange of port information data with existing business, passenger information and stakeholder systems. The Port of Dover will require project services to manage all aspects of the delivery. As above.
