Tender description

Meller Educational Trust (MET) is a multi academy trust based in Hertfordshire with seven academies and University Technical Colleges, primarily based around Watford, South Hertfordshire and Hillingdon. The MET is seeking to centrally procure cleaning services across the Trust. In the first instance, this will encompass The Bushey Academy, The Harefield Academy and the Global Academy with the potential to extend to other schools within the Trust as their current arrangements end, and as the Trust grows. The services may vary between academies to suit the local demographic, site facilities and student numbers, and we would expect bidders to take each school's needs into account. Equally, the contract terms must be favourable to each institution within the Trust, and we reserve the right for each academy to determine value for money of the arrangement for their circumstance. The academy buildings are set in extensive grounds and consist of the new build and two period halls, which are adjacent to the main building. All internal areas are fully accessible. The site is easily accessed by road, there is ample on site car parking and it is located within easy reach of the M25 and M1 motorways. In addition to normal education provision, the academy facilities are hired out to individuals and local community groups and is occupied by hirers in the evenings and throughout all holiday periods. The Harefield Academy is situated in the village of Harefield a historic village in a rural setting in the West London Borough of Hillingdon. Situated on a hill, Harefield is just inside the M25 Motorway. As well as day students, the academy also has onsite boarding provision. The Academy has capacity for 950 Students and 48 Boarders. Global Academy (UTC). In September 2016 the Global Academy opened on the iconic Old Vinyl Factory site in Hayes, a UTC specialising in broadcast and digital media alongside a mainstream curriculum of GCSEs and A-Levels.
