Tender description

Essex County Council (ECC) is planning a medium term residual waste framework agreement capable of providing: disposal outlets for refuse derived fuel; contingency disposal services for untreated residual municipal waste; contingency arrangements for the non-availability of one or more of its local waste transfer stations. To develop this framework we are asking the market to consider our project brief and complete a questionnaire. This will assist the Authority with the development of its market approach and ensure it secures best value when procuring its requirements for disposal of residual waste. ECC is planning a medium-term residual waste framework agreement capable of providing disposal outlets for refuse derived fuel; contingency disposal services for untreated residual municipal waste; contingency arrangements for the non-availability of 1 or more of its local waste transfer stations. There is no guarantee of any supplies under this framework agreement once procured. The Estimated total value (II.5.1) represents an upper limit estimate of the Authority's requirements in the unlikely event that contingency arrangements as described in the project brief were fully required during the entire duration of the framework agreement.
