Network Rail (NR) wishes to undertake a soft market testing exercise to help determine the best way to deliver a solution for the Provision of Seasonal Trains. NR is responsible for delivering seasonal mitigation solutions which include Weedspray, Autumn mitigation and Winter mitigation nationally to ensure proper functioning of the rail network. NR's current seasonal train fleet is nearing obsolescence therefore NR wishes to undertake pre-procurement dialogue with market specialists to explore what the market can best offer. This will help NR to assess and best understand the market interest and the optimal way to design delivery of this requirement.
