Tender description

The provision of an Urgent Care/Walk-in Centre/Minor Injuries Unit Services from the existing premises at the Willowbrook site, Cottingham Road, Corby, NN17 2UR comprising of the timely treatment for less serious illnesses and injuries which require and are capable of immediate care in a Primary Care setting but which do not require attendance and treatment at a Type 1 or Type 2 Accident and Emergency Department. The Commissioners are looking to work with the Provider to achieve a delivery of the Services which works towards achieving the following objectives: 1. ensure appropriate use of the UCC/streaming of presenting service users, in accordance with clinical requirements and the Commissioners' wider objectives for the Services; 2. a reduction in Type 1 and Type 2 A&E attendances for Ambulatory Conditions that can be treated in Primary Care settings (with a target of 25 %); 3. the reduction of paediatric 24 hour emergency admissions by 25 % and adults by 50 %; 4. a generalised reduction in emergency admissions by working collaboratively with other community based services.
