Tender description
The Authority wants to work in partnership with children and young people; their parents and carers; the Authority's statutory and non-statutory partners and the provider market to deliver a high volume of high quality, diverse and creative support for children with a disability. This is to be satisfied with the creation of a framework over 4 lots. Services are primarily focused on delivering personalised 1:1 support both in the family home but also in terms of enabling children and young with disabilities to access their local community, facilities and services. This includes support to access and use universal services offered to all children and young people. Group activities and services may include but will not be limited to: — Weekend schemes; — Holiday schemes; — After school clubs; — Sporting clubs/activities; — Music/dance/drama activities; — Youth clubs; — Adventure play; — Training to support children and young people into mainstream services; — Extra support to allow children and young people with a disability to access a mainstream and universal services and activities. This lot covers the delivery of overnight Short Breaks delivered at any point in a suitable residential-style setting within easy access of children and young and their parents living in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. This Lot covers services that cannot be classified as outreach support or group activities under the Framework. This would include services such as: — Sleep counselling; — Specific programmes and training to support children and young people into mainstream services; — Extra support to allow a child or young person with a disability to access either a mainstream service and/or a specific service.
