Tender description

The Derby Silk Mill — Museum of Making project will sustainably redevelop Derby Silk Mill, widely regarded as the site of the world's first factory and part of the UNESCO Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. It will create an inspirational new museum, revealing the whole building for the first time and re-introducing manufacturing to the site. It will celebrate the Derby's heritage of makers through the internationally, regionally and locally significant collections. It will create new co-working, maker and workshop spaces, with facilities for use by the makers of today and tomorrow. Suppliers are invited to offer the EOIs for detailed design supply and installation of specialist systems or building elements for the project including Modern Methods of Construction. 1.1 Mechanical and Electrical; 1.2 Specialist Exhibition works including any digital requirements. EOIs are invited from constructors to provide building/works/services for the whole or any part of the project.
