Tender description

OPW requires the services of a third party service provider to provide a solution for:- (i) the operation and management of the existing 230 mast sites within the OPW portfolio (the ‘Existing Sites’), including exploiting potential by opening access and enhancing sites in accordance with the licences granted by the OPW for those Sites — the management and operation services include maintenance and repair of towers and related infrastructure and equipment, reporting, auditing and information sharing, management of site access, customer service, site development works and mast insurance; and (ii) the potential development of other suitable sites within the OPW portfolio for use in the telecommunications sector by mobile network operators and other operators (the ‘New Sites’). The service commencement date under the Contract will be 29.9.2017 and it will be a fundamental condition of this tender process and the Contract that the successful Tenderer is able to commence provision of the services under the Contract by this date, including completion of any required mobilisation and transitional services, staff deployment and engagement with the existing service provider (if applicable) and mobile network operators, to ensure the seamless transfer of the operation and management of the masts from the incumbent to the successful Tenderer. Applicants should be aware that the estimated total value of the contract is an estimate only and is based on an estimated annual value of EUR3m per annum. These estimates are for information purposes only and should not give rise to any expectation of future levels of revenue.
