CCTV control room relocation, creation of a wireless IP network & maintenance

Tender description

The PSS CCTV Control Room is currently located at the Christchurch Police Station, Barrack Road, Christchurch, BH23 1PN. The Police Station is no longer operational and the site is due to be sold. Therefore, the existing CCTV Control Room is to be relocated to the Christchurch Civic Offices, Bridge Street, Christchurch, BH23 1AZ. As part of the control room relocation CBC have opted to remove the existing communication paths, RS1000 and CODFM, from the cameras to the Control Room and instead invest in a new Wireless IP network. In addition to the relocation of the control room the maintenance contract covering both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance is being tendered for renewal. This contract will be for an initial period of 3 years with an option for the council to extend it annually for an additional 2 years. Prices for year 2 onwards will, on the anniversary of the contract and subject to application by the winning tender, be increased by the Consumer Price Index.
