Business Case Telecommunication, Signalling and Robotics Laboratory Equipment

Tender description

Following the investment at Telford Engineering Campus and review of the engineering programmes portfolio it is decided to strengthen the area of Electronic, Telecommunication, Signalling and Robotics within School of Engineering. Our current offering is limited support from a single lab provision to support M.Eng Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, M.Eng/B.Eng Mechatronic Engineering programmes. Due to the limited practical facilities it is challenging to develop further programmes in this area where there is greater demand for Mechatronic, Telecommunications and Signalling at and around apprenticeship provision tot he local industry. A request to support to set up a Telecom, Signalling and Robotics laboratory at Telford Campus was approved under phase 2 investment and hence, request to release funding to purchase equipment to support this laboratory.
