Tender description

Who Speclialist Work With Key stakeholders within Border Force, Home Office Digital Data and Technology, Home Office and Security Services. The programmes are resourced by a range of specialist resources including Home Office Civil Servants and other government Civil Servants. What Specialists Work On Day-to-day you will be responsible for working in a team to design, create and improve new and existing products across government. ● Building products to serve a variety of customers’ needs. ● Building up a useful, robust automated test suite to support a Continuous Deployment environment. ● Being involved in the wider development community, identifying good practices we can adopt and sharing our experiences. ● Sharing knowledge of tools and techniques with the wider team, both developers and non-developers. Where the Work Takes Place The Specialist is predominantly based at Home Office premises at Lunar House, Croydon, CR9 2BY, but may be required to attend Marsham Street, London, SW1; and MetroPoint , Croydon; Surrey; or other locations as necessary. Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements The engineer should be physically on site Monday – Friday. Approximate hours are 09:00 – 18:00. Specialists will work primarily on-site with teams as required and report to management on site. Specialists are expected to work across the multiple sites as required. Expenses will conform to HO internal policies and will not be payable to Westminster, Croydon, or Heathrow. Work Location The Specialist is predominantly based at Home Office premises at Lunar House, Croydon, CR9 2BY, but may be required to attend Marsham Street, London, SW1; and MetroPoint , Croydon; Surrey; or other locations as necessary. Security Clearance Security clearance of Security Check (SC) is required. Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience AngularJS HTML5 (at least 3 years experience) OO JavaScript (at least 3 years experience) Less /CSS3 (at least 3 years experience) TDD / Jasmine/Karma Grunt Extensive Knowledge and Experience with Single Page Applications Responsive Web Development A solid understanding of MVC and/or MVVM Fluent in English and good communication skills Experience working within a Scrum team and familiarity with CI development techniques and environments Nice to Haves Adobe Photoshop GIT Jira / Confluence Java Knowledge of All Browsers and Rendering Engines Experience of working directly with Civil Servant end users in order to discuss ideas, prototypes and technical progress No. of Specialists to Evaluate 5 Cultural Fit Criteria Work well in a team within our organisation.
