Tender description

This Contract covers the frequency, programming and methodology for all weed spraying on all scheduled highways within the Denbighshire County Council area. The weed spraying of highways within Denbighshire is awarded as 1 contract. The County is sub-divided into 6 geographical areas or zones: Zone 1 Rhyl; Zone 2 Prestatyn; Zone 3 Elwy; Zone 4 Denbigh; Zone 5 Ruthin; Zone 6 Dee Valley. Each zone comprises of a network of urban and rural roads. For pricing purposes each zone is split into 2 treatment requirements: Weedspraying of roads subject to 30 mph speed limits (Urban Roads); Weedspraying of roads subject to 40 mph speed limit and greater (Predominantly Rural Roads but some Urban in nature).
