Tender description

North Lanarkshire Council is inviting suitably qualified tenderers to tender for the provision of Sweeping of Carriageways within North Lanarkshire Council. The Service Provider shall deliver the service seven days a week, 24 hours a day including cover during Public Holidays including Christmas Day and New Years Day. This contract is for the hire of Large Mechanical Sweepers, 18t GVW with a minimum carrying capacity of 8 m³, and a suitably qualified driver plus fuel to mechanically sweep the roads net-work within North Lanarkshire. The Service Provider shall also dispose of the arisings at their designated waste disposal facilities which for the purposes of this contract shall be available 24 hours per day 364(5) days per year if required. The Service Provider shall provide details of their waste disposal facilities which for the purposes of this contract shall be available 24 hours per day 364(5) days per year if required. In addition Service Provider shall be able to provide an emergency call-out system 24 hours per day, 364(5) days per year if required. The Service Provider shall sweep and remove all arisings, debris and leaf litter from the specified road surface, across the whole width of the road surface from kerb-line to kerb-line including around road islands and roundabouts.
