Repair and maintenance services of ships

Tender description

UK SBS on behalf of the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) anticipates undertaking a procurement exercise for the provision of annual refits (covering maintenance, repair, enhancement, and refit) of the Royal Research Ships (RRS) James Cook and Discovery. The objective is to deliver a long term agreement up to 5 years (actual duration of the contract TBC) that provides options for ship refits across all operating areas e.g. Atlantic, Eastern Pacific, and Indian Oceans. RRS James Cook and RRS Discovery are purpose built research ships managed by the National Marine Facilities (NMF) at the National Oceanography Centre (NOC), Southampton on behalf of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC).
