PROCUREMENT OF A DEVELOPMENT PARTNER FOR HOLBORN, SOUTH SHIELDS

Tender description

The Client wishes to appoint a Development Partner for a period of between 10 and 12 years to develop the former industrial Holborn Riverside site in South Shields. It is a requirement that the Development Partner: • initially builds 2 office blocks for STC. c. 80,000 sqft; • assists in the marketing and letting of the STC office blocks; • provides an outline masterplan for the rest of Holborn area; • then constructs remaining office blocks (120-320,000 sqft) elsewhere on the site and secures final occupants; • develops private / social housing offer in Windmill Hill area of the site; • remediates and develops the Middle Docks site (including potential acquisition); • implements appropriate highways network improvements; • delivers associated parking and landscaping; • secures appropriate private finance for all of above Keywords: developer
