Tender description
At present a requirement exists for Catering Services at the Headquarters of the Marine Institute in Oranmore, Co. Galway. The facility has a fully fitted kitchen with servery and restaurant with seating for 96 (see Annex 2 & 3). There are 4 coffee dock areas located throughout the building which contain fridges, microwaves, dishwashers and give staff an area to prepare food. Normal operating hours for the majority of staff of the Marine Institute are between 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Some personnel are however on site from 7.30am. There are no formal allocated break times; lunch break is generally taken between 12.30-2pm. The facility will not require catering services on Public and Bank Holidays. It is estimated that approximately 100 personnel will be on site at any given time. The service provider is required to supply tea, sugar and milk for use in the coffee docks. Institute staff and personnel take responsibility for stocking the docks. Corporate/Hospitality Catering is also required for meetings and conferences.
