Tender description

Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit on behalf of NHS England (North Midlands) and Mansfield and Ashfield CCG are looking to tender GP Services (APMS) for Kirkby Community Primary Care Centre. It is anticipated that the contract shall run from 1.10.2017 until 30.9.2020 with an option to extend up to a further 2 years. The anticipated contract value is 1 380 000 GBP over 3 year contract and 923 000 GBP for the additional 2 years (excluding QOF and Enhanced Services). The practice is open 5 days a week from 8:00 until 18:30, with extended opening offered in accordance with patient needs. The practice has 5 600 registered patients and it is anticipated that this will grow at a steady rate. The practice is located within a NHS Property Services building which was a former community hospital building. The services must be provided and led by GPs and supported by an appropriate skill-mix. The Kirkby Community Primary Care Centre was, in November 2015, rated ‘Inadequate’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The practice is currently being run under a care-taking arrangement with an on-going commitment to quality improvement. The ITT is anticipated to be published on 10.2.2017 via Bravo.
