Tender description

The contract reflects customer and client requirements relating to Employability Support Services in Scotland and will be utilised by members of the public in Scotland. This Contract will provide the requirements for Employability Support Services in Scotland. The scheme will be known as ‘Work First Scotland’ (WFS). The Scottish Government will require the Service Provider to deliver the services as part of the devolution of contracted employment support, on an interim basis in 2017-2018. Namely, it will provide specialist support for disabled people in the workplace and those not already in work, through working with employers, government, schools, colleges and other statutory referral organisations. The aim is to provide a tailored, coherent range of support which can respond flexibly to the individual needs of disabled people and their employers and make best use of resources. The WFS programme will deliver high quality, employment support to disabled people with complex issues who want to work and need help to enter and/or remain in the labour market.
