The Pensions Regulator is looking for a Valuation and Covenant Model. Within the defined benefit pension (“DB") sphere the Pensions Regulator (TPR) is seeking a solution that combines both the ability to model scheme funding and investment and to combine this with an assessment /modelling of the employer covenant. This may be delivered by 1 solution or separate ones. The model we procure needs to be able to deliver outputs internal use within TPR, however, in the future we may consider its applicability for external use. The Regulator is seeking to enhance its capability in assessing the key risks within the DB landscape. Procuring a valuation and covenant model is anticipated to assist and enhance our current thinking in both our policy and case management approach. This communication is designed to establish interest and capability from suppliers, to finalise our route to market and to further develop our specification and tender documentation. The exact value of this procurement is unknown at this stage.
