Tender description

This contract shall provide for the provision of Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services to Northumbrian Water Ltd. The tender will be spilt into 3 separate Lots, allowing tenderers to bid for 1 or more lots. NWL reserves the right to award to a single supplier or to split the award. Lot 1 — Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Services Musculoskeletal service to NWL which includes: —Telephone Triage; —Face to Face Physiotherapy; —Functional Restoration Programmes; —Training. The service works in tandem with the Occupational health service, Healthcare Trust and Back to Health schemes. Lot 2 — Occupational Health The OH services are currently delivered using a mixture of approaches depending on type and location. The general approach to delivery is as follows: Absence referrals — Referrals in the North East and Essex are normally conducted on-site by an OH Physician in an appropriate environment (normally an equipped first aid room). Referrals in Suffolk are normally conducted off-site by a network physician at a local medical centre. Health Surveillance — Referrals in the North East are normally conducted on-site by an OHA in an appropriate environment (normally an equipped first aid room). All other health surveillance assessments are conducted via mobile clinics. Lot 3 — Employee Wellbeing Programme/Employee Assistance Programme It is open to all employees and their dependant. 24-hour free phone access to professional support for any personal or work related issue. All calls are answered by a team of qualified and experienced counsellors. Counselling calls may be on-off or continued with the same counsellor for an agreed number of sessions within a structural framework. Counselling is provided either on the telephone or within an agreed number of face to face counselling session (Maximum 6 per issue) Additional sessions are available subject to agreement and at an additional charge. The are approx. 1 700 employees in the northern operating areas, 540 in Essex and 500 in Suffolk. TUPE may apply to Lots 1 and 2.
