UOW612 Nursing Block Air Handling Unit

Tender description

This project compromises of the upgrade of the existing nursing block general air handling unit at University of Worcester. The unit provides fresh air supply and extract to two large seminar rooms, and four lecture rooms over three floors. The AHU is around 15 years of age, and houses belt driven fans, thermal wheel, heating and frost coils with controls / inverters. Recent infrastructure works had many of the controls upgraded and linked to the central building management system (trend). The works proposed are to install new replacement direct drive plug fans to further reduce energy use. Also, update any associated control changes to suit. As part of the works, all ductwork shall be cleaned throughout as this requirement is due.
