Tender description

There are 2 elements. 1) Enabling access to crisis support for one of the most excluded groups i.e. for women affected by domestic abuse and with no recourse to public funds. 2) Providing access direct into permanent homes for households experiencing severe and multiple disadvantage. This will provide an effective service for victims of domestic violence/ abuse also coping with multiple disadvantages. The service will be a model of ‘Housing First’ accommodation and support. It will ensure direction of services to establish lasting independence, housing victims of domestic violence/abuse and their families in a community, rather than a temporary refuge, wrapping around specialist and intensive support which is not currently available in any of our boroughs on a housing first basis. The Service will be a Housing First model of accommodation and support for those who are victims of domestic violence and abuse and experiencing multiple disadvantage and with complex dependencies. This service will ensure that we are directing services to establish lasting independence and resilience, housing victims of domestic violence and abuse and their families in a community, rather than a temporary refuge, and wrapping around specialist and intensive support. This type of service is not currently available in any of our boroughs on a housing first basis. Our aim is that this approach will bring transformational change to the way that we respond to domestic violence and abuse across the 3 authorities. Alongside this the Provider will give specialist support to enable women fleeing domestic violence who are in the UK on spousal visas and who have received a negative decision to prepare and submit an application under the Domestic Violence Rule. The Provider will provide both elements of the service.
