UK Bio-centre is looking for suppliers with the necessary capacity and capability to generate genotyping data on around 60 000 participants in NIHR-Bio-resource –funded studies, principally Compare and Compare+. The selected partner will provide a complete service: this will include, as a minimum, design, optimisation and validation of the array, genotyping of at least 60 000 samples and provision of quality-assured ‘called’ genotypes. The partner will also liaise with NIHR researchers on enhancement of the arrays' content and of genotype data. UK Bio-centre seeks to install genotyping capacity at Milton Keynes. Responders to this tender should state how this could be facilitated within the project proposal and following completion of the genotyping of the initial 60 000 samples. Budget is anticipated to be from 2 000 000 GBP to 5 000 000 GBP depending on funding applications.
