Why the Work is Being Done The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) are undertaking a significant period of change to improve the data management, business intelligence and identity management within the organisation. This is all against a backdrop of the incoming General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) Problem to Be Solved LSHTM would like to identify and secure the a strategic partner to assist with this change programme. We seek a collaborative partner with the right skills to help deliver to the vision, requirements and constraints outlined below and to assist us on the early phases of transforming systems/process integration, data management, business intelligence and infrastructure. At a high level, the requirements are to: Define and prioritise KPIs Catalogue our data sources (across Student, Research and Staff & Administration themes) related to the prioritised KPIs High and low level data warehouse and BI architecture, with a particular focus on Student data Who Are the Users Head of Professional Services Faculty Operating Officers Systems owners and support staff Early Market Engagement Work Already Done Expected output artefacts: • Full data catalogue (student, research meta-data and staff & corporate data) • Guidance, support and training material for advancing data owners awareness and capabilities in data management and business intelligence • Capture and mapping of our prioritised KPIs • Data warehouse data model • Data warehouse and BI security model • ETL mapping and business rules • Infrastructure and operations recommendations • Development guidelines for future implementations Existing Team Working with our IT Services Team at LSHTM Current Phase Discovery Work Location London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine Keppel Street London WC1E 7HT Working Arrangments Primary systems involved: • Tribal SITS • Hobson CRM • Skills Forge • Unit4 Agresso • Unit 4 PFACT • Northgate Arinso ResourceLink • Novelle IDM • Microsoft Active Directory • ePrints based Data and Publication data • Bespoke Research metadata • Assorted important operational CSVs etc that have become part of the data infrastructure Security Clearance Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Ability to Produce Expected output artefacts Experience in the Primary Systems involved Stakeholder management Experience Ability to meet timescales Show ability to Define and prioritise KPIs Demonstrate knowledge of high and low level data warehouse and BI architecture, with a particular focus on Student data Demonstrate knowledge and experience of cataloguing data sources Nice to Haves No. of Suppliers to Evaluate 3 Proposal Criteria Technical Solution - approach or solution meets user needs Approach and Methodology Estimated timeframes for the work Team Structure Identified risks and dependencies and offered approaches to manage them Cultural Fit Criteria Suppliers ability to manage stakeholders Transparent and collaborative when making decisions Payment Approach Fixed price Assessment Method Written proposal Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 45% Cultural fit 15% Price 40% Questions from Suppliers Budget range
