WBC is implementing an ambitious transformational programme, 21st Century Council (21CC), recognising that advances in technology & changes in client behaviour enable new forms of service delivery. Integral to 21CC, WBC is exploring model options for delivery of Highways & Transport Services; currently supported by two key contracts, expiring e/o Mar 19: Professional services, highway & transport project design Highway maintenance & construction services WBC wishes to consult organisations with relevant delivery experience to secure the views of market participants on potential service delivery models, aligned to 21CC. This will assist WBC to identify preferred option(s) and in planning the future procurement procedures. Procurement should commence in early 2018, though WBC can offer no guarantees. WBC will host a Market Discovery workshop at its offices on Mon 19th June 17, 10:00–13:00. Organizations wishing to participate should submit an expression of interest by 12:00, Mon 12th. The Council currently has two key contracts for Highways and Transportation Services: 1. A contract with a service provider for the delivery of professional services including highway and transport project design; and 2. A contract with a service provider for highway maintenance and construction services. Both contracts expire at the end of March 2019. The Council wishes to consult with organisations with relevant experience of the delivery of similar services. The purpose of the consultation is to seek the early views of market participants on potential service delivery models available to the Council that best align with the 21st Century Council programme. The consultation will assist the Council to identify preferred option(s) and help the Council in the planning and conduct of future procurement procedures. The Council intends to commence the procurement procedure in early 2018.
