Tender description

This RFP is being issued to Tenderers in accordance with Council Directive 2014/25/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council under the Open Procedure to allow EirGrid plc (‘EirGrid’) and SONI Limited (‘SONI’) select Service Providers to participate in a trial to demonstrate the provenability and measurability of a range of new and existing DS3 System Services from new technologies. A wider range of DS3 System Service Providers, including Service provision by new technologies will help EirGrid and SONI meet the challenge of operating the electricity system of Ireland and Northern Ireland with increased levels of renewable energy. This is a key step towards the decarbonisation of the electricity system, which has wider societal and consumer benefits. Select Service Providers to participate in a trial to demonstrate the provenability of POR from Wind. Select Service Providers to participate in a trial to demonstrate the provenability of RM3 from Wind. Select Service Providers to participate in a trial to demonstrate the provenability of POR from DSM. Select Service Providers to participate in a trial to demonstrate the provenability of POR from other technologies. Select Service Providers to participate in a trial to demonstrate the provenability of RM3 from other technologies excluding HVDC interconnectors. Select Service Providers to participate in a trial to demonstrate the measurability of FFR from Conventional, DSM, Wind and other technologies. Select Service Providers to participate in a trial to demonstrate the measurability of FPFAPR/ DRR from Conventional, Wind and other technologies (excluding DSM).
