SOG-ED-T-UK Media Buying Tender 2017-2019

Tender description

The Tourism and Marketing section within the Committee for Economic Development is responsible for the promotion of Guernsey as a destination for both leisure and business, in particular encouraging first-time visitors. The current contract for Tourism and Marketing’s media buying agency expires on 30 September 2017. In line with States procedures we are therefore tendering for the contract that will run from the 1st October 2017 to 30th September 2019 with the option for a one year extension. It is our intention that the successful agency is responsible for the development of the 2018-2019 UK media buying advertising campaigns. We will require this agency to work on the 2018 campaigns from the beginning of October 2017. Agencies should be aware that this tender is for the media buying agency only. There is no requirement for creative work, public relations, print buying or web development at this stage as there are agencies currently under contract that undertake these tasks for us; the successful agency will be required to work alongside all of the Department’s other appointed agencies to deliver a co-ordinated campaign. The Committee for Economic Development will require the successful agency to work with our team on campaigns aimed at our key target audiences. Based on the 2017, the media spend is circa £850,000 however there are no guarantees on the level of expenditure for this contract.
