North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust (‘the Trust’) is issuing this PIN Notice in relation to a pre-market engagement. This is not a call for competition. The Trust is seeking a Provider to deliver a cost effective, unified, state of the art Blood Sciences analytical service for the next 7-10 years .The Trust is undertaking a market consultation to consider the options available for a Blood Sciences service. It is envisaged that the contract may include a fully managed service solution and is likely to include associated consumables, reagents, equipment, training, support and value added services. Consideration is currently being given as to whether this contract will be separated into Lots and how this will be divided. Final confirmation of this and all aspects of the Trusts requirements will be provided following the market engagement event as part of the Contract Notice which will be published via the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). The Trust currently have a Blood Sciences department, which consists of three disciplines, biochemistry, haematology and blood transfusion. The Trust is undertaking a market consultation to consider the options available for a Blood Sciences service.
